Another work day and I start it off with a bowl of Raisin Bran. Do I taste the texture of the bran, the chewy goodness of the raisin? Nope. I just get it down cause I know I need to eat. I should eat. I'm breaking the fast!
I nibble on some grapes and a couple of raspberries during camp. I eat the grapes mindlessly, not savoring the juiciness sweetness of each green goodness plucked away from the stem.
I go to a lunch meeting where we attend a sushi restaurant. I get a eel dish that comes with miso soup and a side of spicy tuna roll. I am eating because I'm nervous and slightly eating slowly to extend the conversation. The conversation lasts for 2 hours.
I then try to go home to grab a bite but Route 1 is awful! I forgot what rush hour traffic was like considering I never travel in it. So, I turn around and head back to work. I go to the U Store and grab a Odewalla bar for 210 calories. I guess this is a good thing considering I burned some calories on the Elliptical/Stepper Machine. I get a hunger headache which I know is bad but my stomach wasn't telling me I was/am hungry.
I get home and it's 9:00 pm. I've had two servings of Orzo Greek Salad and a brownie. I think I'm satisfied but the headache hasn't gone away. Listening to the body is a crazy thing. How do you know what you're listening for? Is it really a growl? A rumbling of the tum tum? Or is all that just what you're body is doing because it's expecting you to eat at a certain time.
I swear recently, I can get my stomach to growl on command. I think about food and it's going to start to grumble.
Let's see how I do with Day 3!
